Bank of America Charitable Foundation Gives $7,500 Grant for “Snacks at the Tracks” Workforce Development
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation has recently awarded Snacks at the Tracks - a business of Upstate Cerebral Palsy located in Union Station in Utica - a $7,500 grant to provide workforce training and development to prepare workers for careers and employment opportunities. According to Carleen Stewart, Vice President of Strategic Development at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, “This funding for vocational training will be a tremendous asset to Snacks at the Tracks, the profits of which ultimately benefit programs and services at Upstate Cerebral Palsy. This will allow us to thoroughly train and equip staff with the knowledge and skills needed to work at the café. We appreciate the support and incredible generosity of Bank of America in providing these professional training opportunities.” Snacks at the Tracks is open at Union Station Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm and features local goods from The Root Farm as well as an assortment of breakfast, lunch and snack options.
