Upstate Caring Partners, in partnership with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) hosted their community Buddy Walk® on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Mohawk Valley Community College, to honor and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome. This event focused on raising awareness for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
The event included entertainment, refreshments, and activities, including an interactive art project with the help of the pieces of heART program. The collaborative art project was raffled off to a lucky winner at the conclusion of the event. The Children’s Museum Mobile Museum was on-site for some fun, interactive play suitable for all ages. Old Dog Coffee Company served up delicious coffee beverages for purchase. Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon was in attendance to share some words with the audience prior to the walk.
