I just want to take this opportunity to thank you. You deserve much much more than that…not only have you made this year smooth and happy for Daniel, but you have greatly increased his learning, his communication, his understanding and most importantly his potential for the rest of his life. What all of you did together throughout this year has made our family and home life amazing.
As the site coordinator for Hamilton College, I led several volunteer trips to Upstate Cerebral Palsy. It was always great to see students who were hesitant or had never worked with individuals with developmental disabilities get involved and have fun in the process. The fact that we now have a consistent group of volunteers for weekly trips speaks volumes to the quality of the agency and the people who run the programs…it has given me a reason to get excited about getting up Saturday morning!
I have worked as a nurse at Upstate Cerebral Palsy for several years. Caring for people with special needs is a new area of nursing for me and I love it! The individuals give me and those around them a new outlook on life and I am happy to share in their accomplishments every day. I like knowing that I am truly making a positive impact on people’s lives. Everyone here is like family and being a nurse in the Upstate Cerebral Palsy family is incredibly rewarding.
