Upstate Cerebral Palsy offers a variety of benefits to both full-time and part-time employees who meet our eligibility requirements. We recognize the need to provide a balance between work and home responsibilities, and  offer benefit programs that meet those needs.  Below is a brief list of benefits we offer to eligible employees:

Health and Prescription Drug Coverage:   Upstate Cerebral Palsy offers a competitive health insurance and prescription drug program covering preventative services, inpatient, outpatient and prescription drug coverage at low cost sharing for employees.  Generous employer premium contributions are made toward individual coverage.  Employer two-person and family coverage contributions are also substantial for full-time employees.  Part-time staff regularly scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week may purchase this plan at a competitive rate.

Dental/Vision: All active full-time employees have the opportunity to elect coverage in our dental and vision plans.  These plans provide coverage of routine/annual services at low or no cost sharing to employees.  The individual premium is fully subsidized by Upstate Cerebral Palsy.  Employees have the option of electing family coverage at a modest premium.  Part-time staff regularly scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week may purchase this Plan at a competitive rate.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA): A Flexible Spending Account is available to employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week.  This is a pre-tax program that allows an employee to set aside dollars to be used for unreimbursed medical and/or dependent care expenses.  Debit cards are front-loaded with your medical election.

Health Insurance Waiver Plan:  If you are covered by an alternative employer sponsored health insurance plan, you may apply for the health and/or dental insurance waiver.  You would receive an annual payment from the Agency in lieu of health and/or dental benefits.

Retirement Plan:   Upstate Cerebral Palsy offers a very competitive retirement Plan.  Upon meeting eligibility requirements, we will match up to 7% of your elective employee deferral on an annual basis.

Time-Off Benefits:   Paid holidays; accrued vacation, sick and employee leave time, is based on employee categories and is accrued per pay period.

Life Insurance:   Upon completion of one year of service, the agency will provide group life and AD&D coverage equal to your annual salary plus $10,000 for full-time eligible staff.  You may purchase additional supplemental life and AD&D coverage for yourself, spouse and children upon completion of your introductory period.   Premiums are taken via payroll deduction.

Voluntary Disability, Critical Illness, Hospitalization and Accident Insurance:   We offer participation in several voluntary benefit programs designed to supplement your income during a time of leave, disability or health crisis.  These programs include short-term disability coverage, hospital indemnity coverage, and accident and critical care coverage.  All premiums are paid through payroll deduction.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP):  Upstate Cerebral Palsy recognizes the importance of your well-being and is proud to provide an Employee Assistance Program to all employees regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week.  This program is at no cost to you and covers not only our employees, but their eligible dependents as well.  It is a confidential and independent counseling service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
